Armor Designs Inc., (AIM: ADID, ADIS), the knowledge-based designer and manufacturer of composite armour products targeting numerous sectors, today announces that it has entered into a strategic alliance with former Boeing Executives, Andy Logan who was responsible for the "Phantom Works" programme and Chuck Vehlow, responsible for Apache programme at Boeing. "Phantom Works" is Boeing's elite engineering and science team, tasked with developing new technologies for Boeing. Andy and Chuck will advise "Scorpion Works", the Company's advanced R&D team, on such topics as key personnel hiring, defence science, board issues, system integrator alliances, organisational structuring, product and technology development and programme requirements achievement. This strategic alliance will help advance products and technologies, which have been manufactured utilising Volumetrically Controlled Manufacturing ("VCM") methodologies, and help to accelerate the realisation of Armor Designs' market potential through a structured and coherent R&D value management plan. Under the agreement, Mr. Logan and Mr. Vehlow will also assist Armor Designs in the prioritisation of short, medium, and long-term research and development efforts within the Armor Designs' "Scorpion Works" team.
Dr. James St. Ville, Chairman of Armor Designs, commented: "For Armor Designs to benefit from Guantlet Aviation, and in particular Andy and Chuck's extensive skills and experience in focusing R&D programs to provide maximised results and leverage from a company's R&D efforts will be invaluable. We are therefore extremely fortunate to be able to draw on their experience and are confident that this will accelerate the commercialisation of our own extensive R&D efforts. I believe that this alliance is a further step towards achieving Armor Designs true potential through the application of VCM methodologies."

Notes to Editors
Andy Logan has over forty years’ experience in helicopter technology development, design, manufacturing and certification. Mr. Logan headed “Phantom Works”, the Boeing R&D group, during his time with Boeing, and successfully introduced the revolutionary NOTAR anti-torque system to the market, which resulted in three new helicopters: the MD520N, MD600N and MD900. This pioneering technology eliminated the safety hazards of the exposed conventional tail rotor as well as providing a significant reduction in noise. Throughout Andy’s established career, he has multiple patents to his name, won the Howard Hughes Award for technology development, and is an honorary fellow of the American Helicopter Society.
Chuck Vehlow is a well recognised aerospace executive with extensive engineering leadership, knowledge, experience and accomplishments in the rotorcraft industry. Mr. Vehlow established the U.S. West Point Military Academy’s first computer-aided helicopter design course and the successful development, testing and production of the world’s foremost attack helicopter – the Apache Longbow. An entrepreneur, Mr Vehlow subsequently founded two start-up technology companies. Chuck’s military background, leadership in lean manufacturing and turnkey logistics, have benefited him in his advisory role to senior leaders in General Dynamics, Boeing and smaller firms with regard to their business strategy, programme structure and implementation strategies.
